Okay, so there are only a couple of weeks until congress comes back into session. Members of congress and senators track how much mail they get. If we flood our members of congress (house and senate) they will see their mail volume increase and they will get the message. The best thing to do is flood them with a mail, if we give people a simple thing to do (send a Band-Aid) it is an easy message to send. Please feel free to leave comments or contact me.

A new Email

I sent out an email to a list of people asking them to foward the message out to as many people as they could. Please feel free to copy and paste the below and send it out to as many people as you can to get the idea out.

Hello, my name is Glynn Wilcox and I am a real person. I am trying to start a grass roots movement to support the Health Care discussion in the congress right now. I have a simple idea. To tell our members of congress to pass comprehensive healthcare reform, send a Band-Aid with a short note asking them to Heal Health Care Now.

We can work together and drown out the people who are yelling to kill this important opportunity to reform our broken system. Please forward this email to as many people as you can and send your Band-Aid and your note of support to your congress person and Senators.

This is not Astroturf appeal. I am a real person living in Dallas Texas with my family. Luckily I have insurance though my employer. I am trying to get people to do a simple thing. Show your elected official you want Heath Care Reform Now.

Help Heal Health Care

So my wife came up with a really good name/tagline for sending a band-aid to congress. She called it “Help Heal Health Care” I really liked it I am going to start to use it. This evening we went to an event to celebrate Justice Sotomior. I guess the idea was sent out in a few different emails to several different groups. So that is cool because I was really doubting that this idea would ever go anywhere or do anything. I just really think that this is a good idea and would really help to push health care reform. By no means am I an insider I have been tweeting a great deal, I really don’t know if tweeting is effective or not but at least I feel like I am doing something towards it. I was really feeling down about it today because I didn’t think it was progressing but I found out different this evening and I feel better about it.

Send a Band-Aid!

Send a Band-Aid to your representatives and ask them to support health care reform. This is a simple thing that we can all do to get comprehensive Health Care reform passed.
